Accelerating the rollout of wind energy developments in EU regions

The project seeks to support EU regions to benefit from the provisions of the revised Renewable Energy Directive and the European Green Deal, and seize the momentum of promoting energy security and self-efficiency through the acceleration of wind energy developments. In particular, the project will support EU territorial authorities, through exchange of experience, policy learning and capacity building, to put in place a wind energy planning approach covering all the aspects of the “Climate-Biodiversity-Public opinion” nexus to protect biodiversity, overcome regulatory barriers, and secure social acceptance.
